Hello there and welcome! I'm Jamie Conley, the photographer behind J CONLEY IMAGES!

I've lived for many years along the gorgeous NW Florida Gulf Coast. I never cease to be in awe of or take for granted God's handiwork in this wonderfully vibrant place I get to call home! It’s here that I find my inspiration and where you’ll find some of the most beautiful beaches, sand dunes, and rare and unique coastal dune lakes in the world.  

In 2011, inspired daily by the beauty of the area, I picked up a camera and decided to start taking photos in an attempt to capture the authenticity of our surroundings.  Not knowing anything about cameras or what it entails to capture a good photograph, I asked a friend, (and professional photographer) for guidance with my newly found "interest".  He gave me the most valuable lesson ever, when he said, "My best advice is to always take your camera with you."   I’ve taken that guidance to heart and haven't looked back since. Even now some twelve+ years later, I always have some type of camera with me.  And honestly, feel lost if I don't have one close by. 

In the crazy, hectic, and often stressful everyday world we live in, I seek out places of peace and solitude to connect with the beauty of creation and The Creator.  It is those places that resonate the loudest with my heart.  These scenic, coastal areas provide a deep solace and peace for me.  It is where I feel most comfortable and connected while using a visual craft that I’ve grown so passionate about. 

 Saint John Paull II ended his 1999 “Letter to Artists” with the following: May your art help to affirm that true beauty which, as a glimmer of the Spirit of God, will transfigure matter, opening the human soul to the sense of the eternal.

It is my hope that my "Coastalscape Images" convey an essence of the authentic peace I experienced when creating them.  And that through my images you too will experience a sense of peace.
